Formats and Rules
Over/Under 40 Events: Teams must consist of one bowler 40 years of age or over and one bowler under 40 years of age (male or female). Each bowler will bowl 5 games of qualifying across 10 lanes. After the qualifying round the field will be cut at a 1:4 ratio. Remaining teams will be seeded and the format will change to one game match play. Losing teams will be eliminated until there is a tournament champion.
3-Man Team Baker Challenge : Each team will consist of 3 bowlers (any combination of male or female). All team members will roll 15 Baker games across 10 lanes during the qualifying round. After the qualifying round the field will be cut at a 1:4 ratio and remaining teams will compete in a Baker* format stepladder finals. Stepladder matches will start with the lowest qualifying team bowling against the next lowest team in a 2 game Baker* style match with winner determined by total 2 game pinfall (In case of a tie bowlers will roll one ball sudden death roll-off with lead-off bowlers rolling first followed by second and then third bowlers if necessary). *Baker format consists of choosing which bowler will bowl first, second and third. The first bowler will bowl frames 1, 4, 7 and 10. The second bowler will bowl frames 2, 5 and 8 and the third bowler will bowl frames 3, 6 and 9. Once each team has determined their bowling order it cannot be changed during the match or qualifying round. Teams may change bowling order after each match during finals if they desire.
BowlerX-mas Classic: This is a singles event. Each bowler will bowl a 5 game qualifying block across 10 lanes. After qualifying the field will be cut at a 1:4 ratio based on total pinfall. Qualifying bowlers will be seeded and the tournament format changes to 2-game single elimination match play. Winners advance until there is a tournament champion.
8-Game Doubles Marathon: Teams will consist of 2 bowlers (any combination of male & female). Each bowler will bowl 8 games across 16 lanes. At the conclusion of the 8th game cash will be paid out at a 1:4 ratio based on total team combined pinfall. Brackets will be available in games 2-3-4 and 5-6-7.
BowlerX-treme Survivor Event: This is a singles event. All bowlers who survive three rounds will cash! Each bowler will bowl 5 games across 10 lanes during the first round. After completion of this round the field will be cut in half based on total pinfall. Each remaining bowler will roll one more game and the field will be cut in half again. This format will continue until only one bowler remains. *If there are an odd number of bowlers in any round the cut will be rounded up to the next even number (ex. 25 bowlers, 14 move on to next round).
One Ball 8-Game Marathon: This is a singles event. There will be an extended practice session of 20 minutes. After practice is completed each bowler must choose ONE BALL from their arsenal which will be used throughout the FULL 8 GAME MARATHON! This includes spare shooting. At the conclusion of the 8 games cash will be paid out at a 1:4 ratio.
Heaven & Hell Double Elimination Event: This is a singles event. This event will consist of a 5 game qualifying round across 10 lanes. After qualifying the field will be cut at a 1:4 ratio. The format will change to double elimination match play. Bowlers will be seeded and compete in one game match against opponent. Losers move to losers bracket. Once a bowler loses two matches they are eliminated. Final match will be winners bracket finalist vs. losers bracket finalist.
